A Message from Dr. Hwang

Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Dr. Hwang brings expertise in child and adolescent psychiatry to Charles Drew Health Center. Board-certified in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, he specializes in caring for children and adolescents age 10 and older experiencing behavioral and emotional dysregulation.

Dr. Hwang is also an Associate Professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is passionate about helping young people navigate complex challenges and is especially interested in the developing brain. He believes early, thoughtful intervention can shape healthier futures.

Outside of work, Dr. Hwang enjoys reading, listening to music, and traveling. He values time with his partner and three daughters.
