Donald Ray Durant, Jr.’s personal mission at Charles Drew Health Center:
“To assist those suffering from a substance use disorder in creating a healthy way of living, without the need for mind-altering substances, to assist those in need to reconnect with family and friends where bonds were tarnished due to their disorder, and to assist those who are hopeless to find hope. Having suffered and recovered from a substance use disorder, I want to assist others in experiencing the beauty and freedom of living a wholesome life. I take pride in not being judgmental and understanding that addiction is not a choice.”
