Originally from Nairobi, Kenya, Betty enjoys cooking, hiking, traveling, and watching TV shows, especially sci-fi and crime/action shows. What drives Betty’s passion for healthcare is their firsthand experience with the struggles and recovery process. It fuels her passion in this field. That passion drives their commitment to support others on their recovery journeys. The knowledge that their work can result in positive, life-changing outcomes for her patients is an incredible source of motivation for Betty.

Her personal mission at Charles Drew Health Center:

“My mission is to provide compassionate support to individuals battling substance use disorders. I create a safe, non-judgmental space for patients to share their stories. By addressing the physical, emotional, and social facets of addiction, I build trust-based therapeutic relationships. My goal is to empower patients, advocate for their needs, and ensure they have access to vital resources and support.”
