A Message from April
Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, April is married with four children. She loves to travel the world. Some of her favorite destinations are Mexico and Spain. When not abroad, April enjoys cooking for others. She is always ready to sing karaoke or play a new board game with her family.
Coming from a collectivist culture, she strongly values kinship, family, and community. April has experience working in oncology, and has managed multiple clinics, including Federally Qualified Healthcare Clinics. Her personal mission at Charles Drew Health Center:
“I want to help Charles Drew Health Center grow. Improving patient care is at the center of my personal mission. Helping patients have a voice and taking a holistic approach to how social determinants of health intersect with patient health outcomes is where I want to drive our focus.”
