A Message from Ann

Originally a native of Omaha, Ann comes from a large family, and prides herself on spoiling her nieces and nephews. She enjoys traveling, cooking, baking, practicing yoga and caring for her (many) plants. Her personal mission at Charles Drew Health Center:

“To foster an environment that is patient-centered, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of our community and staff. My passion for care is driven by a period in my life when I was unable to afford health insurance. This, coupled with years of working with individuals living with HIV, experiencing homelessness, and those impacted by the carceral system, provided a glimpse of the inequities in our healthcare system. My work with families and individuals who would go without necessary care, or who found themselves with a lack of housing due to medical bills, prompted my desire to work in healthcare operations. I have a passion for redesigning, or creating, systems that place the patients’ needs at the forefront, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. I love the opportunities that come with change, and I’m always open to taking a fresh look at situations and trying something new.”
