School-Based Health Centers

The Charles Drew Health Center's School-based Health Centers (SBHC)

Belvedere Elementary School
Kellom Elementary School
King Middle School
Northwest High School.

SBHC links Omaha Public School students, their families, and children attending child care centers in the area to a medical home.

A Community Engagement & Enrollment Specialist attends all of our Host School's Parent/Teacher Conferences, Open Houses, Health Fair, etc, as well as events at surrounding link school (without an SBHC) when needed.

Students and their families are welcomed with Medicaid; Healthcare Reform; and/or SNAP enrollment opportunities and are not required to attend an OPS SBHC school. Our provider, Candice Williams, is at each of the SBHCs once a week during the hours listed:

Belvedere: Mondays 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Kellom: Thursdays 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
King Science: Wednesdays 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Northwest: Fridays 1:00  p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

This program is funded by Building Healthy Futures.
